How To Make Your Website SEO Friendly Even If You Can't Code

There are lots of people out there who think that you have to know coding when it comes to SEO. Some of them fear that they won't likely be able to optimize their site because they know absolutely nothing about HTML or coding.

So they're probably gonna get paralyzed trying. But, there are lots of tools out there that can help you with the really relevant parts of SEO without you even having to lift a finger when it comes to coding.

In this article I'm gonna break down to you guys how you can make your website to be SEO Friendly even when you don't know how to code.

Step 1 - SCHEMA GENERATORS

The first thing you could do to make your website or blog more SEO frendly, is using schema generators. The relevance of structured data continuous to grow rapidly everyday.

If you've noticed, Google is leaning towards more and more mobile friendly snippets with voice search efforts. Now that you know why schema is important, that's not all. There's another interesting thing which you need to know.

By having it, it can drastically increase your site's CTR (Click-Through Rate) compared to that of your competitors who do not have it.

However, if you don't have coding experience, surely you'll be asking yourself, “Hold on, how do I go about this?" Well, luckily for you and i, there are schema generating tools out there that can help you out. Below are some food ones you can try:

Google structured data helper - This tool allows you to visually tag elements on your webpage and generate proper markup.

Schema markup generator - This simply helps you to create code that you can simply copy and paste into your site's HTML.

Step 2 - XML SITEMAP

Now the next thing you need to do is start leveraging XML sitemap generators. And I'm sure you're probably wondering, why is a sitemap even important for SEO?

Here's why: If Google has a hard time crawling your site, then those pages may not be indexed. And if Google has an easy time crawling your site, well, you're likely going to have more indexed pages. More of those pages are probably going to rank you even higher.

Now, with a sitemap, what it does is that it tells Google, “Hey there, here's a whole list of all the pages that are on my site, please index them." Google may not index them all, but you there's a higher chance of them crawling your site and indexing it.

And if you can't figure out how to do XML sitemap, don't worry, there's something called screaming frog. This software can assist you with a variety of SEO activities including creating XML sitemap.

Once you're able to generate that sitemap, make sure you submit it to Google search console because this will tell Google, “hey, kindly go crawl all these pages."

Step 3 - ROBOT.TXT

The next step you can take to make your site SEO friendly is to create a robots.txt file. So why does a robot.txt file matter? Well, they tell robots which site pages to crawl and which they shouldn't.

You don't want Google to be crawling your sensitive pages. Let's say that you have certain pages out there that you're continually improving, but you don't want Google to see them, because you're using it for, maybe advertising campaign or social media paid advertising.

These are the sort of pages you want to block using robot.txt. Internet marketing ninjas have a very simple robot.txt generator tool that you can and should check out. You can just plugin any of the pages you want, index in Google all the pages that you want excluded, and they'll create something for you.

You just upload, and like magic, you're good to go.

Step 4 - CONSTANT DELIVERY NETWORK (CDN)

Finally on this list, you need to install a CDN in other to speed up your site's load time. Faster sites create better user experience and those pages rank better and higher on Google.

Google has even said that they look at a website's load time to determine it's ranking as well. So what CDN does is put your site throughout services across the world. And there's this company called cloudflare that helps you with just that.

Now what's cool about cloudflare is that they have a free plan.

Which means unlike other sites where you have to pay real money, you can actually get started for free, and this can help improve your site's load times, which will afterwards increase your ranking over time as well without you being a developer.

Conclusion

Indeed being able to code is like having a head start in ranking your site or having like a superpower compared to people who can't code. But if you can't code, then go through this article and follow the steps to increase your SEO and rank your site.
