My 5 Best NETFLIX Series Of The Past Decade

Being the world's leading internet entertainment service with over 158 million paid memberships in over 190 countries, Netflix never disappoints in delivering blockbuster series to our satisfaction.

Although they've been some rough and uninteresting shows from Netflix over the years, I've been able to compile a list of the best TV shows from Netflix in the last decade which most people don't even know about from the streaming giants. I guess.

1- KINGDOM (2019-Present)

The story starts by displaying a notice, announcing the death of the king, and the elders are demanding for the crown prince to claim the throne as the rightful ruler.

However, within the palace, the king is alive, but ill and was secretly being treated for the past several days. Nobody was allowed to see the king, not even the prince himself.

Late at night, the crown prince sneaks out to visit his father, wanting to know the truth. But instead of his father, he encountered a somewhat shadow of a beastly monster.

After facing threats of being overruled as crown prince, Yi Chang along with his trusted guard Moo Young undertake an adventure to find out the truth about the king and to save the kingdom.

On this adventure, they encounter new friends, foes, and brain-eating zombies.

The Netflix series provides a Zombie Apocalypse set in the ancient Korean Nation to our screens. It's both thrilling, adventurous, and will leave you wondering what's going to happen next.

Kingdom season 1 was aired on 25th January 2019 on Netflix with just six episodes with each duration ranging from 50-60 minutes.

After it's quite an impressive debut, the kingdom was renewed for a season 2 that will air around March 2020 on Netflix. Rated PG13 probably because of the horrifying zombies. Kingdom gets a rating of 8/10.

2- Lost in Space (2018-Present)

Arguably the best Netflix series on space travel and SciFi in the Netflix rooster. Lost in space tells the story of the Robinsons.

After crash-landing on an unknown alien planet, the Robinsons must fight against all the odds in other to survive and return to Alpha Centauri. But they're surrounded by hidden dangers.

Hidden dangers that include aliens, human, and dangerous creatures from other planets. Everything soon changes when the littlest Will Robinson makes contact with an alien robot creature and can control it.

Tensions rise as to whether the robot should be allowed to wander in their midst.

The Robinsons is one of the smartest families to make it onboard amongst the selected few to leave for Alpha Centauri (A newly discovered planet) must put at use their intellectual skills and brains to make it to Alpha Centauri in one piece.

Currently, just two seasons, Lost in space has been renewed for a third season that is likely to air around early 2021 on Netflix. Lost in space gets a rating of 9/10.

3- Better Call Saul (2015-Present)

Mindblowing! The show is based in the early 2000s. Better Call Saul follows the story of con-man turned small-time lawyer, Jimmy McGill (Bob Odenkirk), showing his transformation into the persona of criminal-for-hire Saul Goodman.

Jimmy becomes the lawyer for former beat cop Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks), whose relevant skill set allows him to enter the criminal underworld of drug trafficking in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Saul Goodman must face the difficulties of life as he struggles to find a job that he loves and stick to it—being extremely smart, cunning and manipulative.

Jimmy must also figure out a way to get along with his older brother, who is jealous of him for specific reasons, despite being far more successful and richer than Jimmy.

Better Call Saul is a thrilling and mysterious series that deals with betrayal, dishonesty, crime and schemes. After an unbeaten run of its fourth season, Netflix renewed it for a fifth season which is set to air on February 24th 2020. 8/10 Rating.

4- Money Heist (2017-Present)
The show tells the story of a criminal mastermind and a genius who is known as "The Professor." Teaming up with his brothers and bringing together a team, he plans on pulling off a most significant heist in history. Robbing the Royal mint of Spain, he plans on stealing billions of euros unseen.

To assist him in carrying out his long, ambitious plan, he recruits eight people, each a specific ability and with nothing to lose.

The group of thieves take hostages to aid in their negotiations with the authorities, who strategize to come up with a way to capture The Professor. As more time elapses, the robbers prepare for a showdown with the police.

Having a stunning 100% Rating on rotten tomatoes and 8.5 on IMDB, the Spanish series is going to keep you glued to your TV with excruciating action, drama, theft and lots more.

Money Heist season 4 is set to air in April 2020 on Netflix. Money Heist gets a rating of 8/10.

5- Stranger Things (2016-Present)
Well as they say “Save the best for last”. Arguably the best show on the Netflix streaming service right now. The streaming giant announced that a stunning 40.7 million accounts “have been watching” the Season 3 of the retro sci-fi hit since it aired.

Description: This thrilling Netflix original drama stars Golden Globe-winning actress Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers. She resides in a tiny Indiana town in 1983 - by a time when stories of sci-fi thrilled the crowd.

When her little boy Will, goes missing, Joyce commences a thorough investigation and would stop at nothing till she finds her son.

While searching for answers, they uncovered a series of extraordinary mysteries that involved unknown hidden experiments from the government, creating supernatural forces, and releasing a little girl.

Stranger things are both thrilling, horrifying, dramatic and entertaining.

The streaming Giants released a short clip showing it’s fans that the series will indeed be coming back for a 4th season in late 2020 or early 2021 on Netflix. Stranger things get a rating of 9/10.

Well, that’s it from me on the list of the best Netflix shows in the last decade.

Cheers!
